I love Chuck Palahniuk (as if everyone in the world didn't already know). Specifically though, this book. The review I picked clearly doesn't know much about the novel or the author, but regardless it's good that he enjoyed the book. Invisible Monsters was supposed to be released before Fight Club, but Chuck's agent advised him that IM was too dark and he's be smart to publish something else. Anyway, it's not as if Fight Club isn't any less dark. All I know is that, depsite what the reviewer says, IM IS for everyone. The book is slightly messed up, but regardless it's fabulous and has catchy quotes. This book is my favorite by him, because of the main character Daisy St.Patience. Her narcissism is beleiveable and Palahniuk is great at telling her story. It reads like a fashion magazine and jumps around at random parts, creating a sense that you missed something. This is what the book says in the beginning anyway. However, once you've read it elleven times (not kidding...) you get the main ideas. I won't give anything away, but I insist that if you haven't read it, do so as soon as possible. It's definitly a great read. And if you already read it, read it again

Twilight Zone
http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/article/i_think_this_whole_twilight_thing_is_being_blown_out_of_proportion
Sigh, stupid Twilight fans. This editorial is really appaling to read. I think there was/is entirley too much hype about the saga from the get-go. The people who hate it are just as bad as the people who love it, because either way it becomes sort of an obnoxious obsession. I personally think both the movie and the book were done poorly and think that if all the Twilight fans stopped being so self-righetous, they'd realize how terribly both were done. The guy writing the article is a film connoseiur, and he even agrees that the hype is very much overrated. It's as if you say one thing and the whole fan base is against you, well I'll say it, I HATE TWILIGHT. The movie, was of course going to do well. If you have enough people to praise something, anything can be a hit,so of course Twilight was. It's so stupid that such a simple plot, and mediocre writing could create so much controversy. I don't think it matters either way.
